Mother's Day is coming up. How about a special present for your wife or mother? And using your blog to get others involved?

I described the background in this blogpost.

In short: I thought of honouring more than just my mum and my loving wife. I thought of all the mothers in the world. Especially those who had a difficulty to provide even the basics to their children. The mothers in the developping world who struggle to even feed their children.

The World Food Programme let's you upload a picture of your mum on their Wall Against Hunger, while contributing anything up from US$1. I uploaded the picture of my mum. I contributed $25, which feeds a child in school for half a year.

As a blogger, I joined the Bloggers Unite rally promoting this cause.

tried it, but the tool got stuck. think they had some technical problems...

What I liked was that you could send ANY amount... that was nice. even just a few Euro would do...
